Pacom Systems expands into a new vertical market segment
Tuesday, 31st July 2007
Pacom's security solutions have been used by Australian government authorities for many years now, and this success indicates that the Pacom solution is highly relevant to government customers in other parts of the world. Demonstrating this success is the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR). They have installed the Pacom solution in over 90 sites across Australia, and are managing access for over 5,000 staff, to thousands of doors equipped with the Pacom access control system. Governments across the globe are under pressure to reduce costs and are quickly realizing that the Pacom solution can help them achieve their goals. The need to have an integrated solution that includes video, intrusion and access control, managed from one central location through one customized user interface, is solved by the Pacom solution. By using Pacom Systems, governments can simplify security management and reduce the cost of ownership in every aspect. "We have not actively gone out and targeted the government market. Rather, the government market has come to us. They know we can provide them with this unique solution and interface to their legacy systems. The Pacom solution also provides a clear migration path for the government market into future expansions and integration," says Andrew Minnikin, President of Pacom Systems, UK.
